This is a site dedicated to my work in Marc Bousquet's class at Emory University: Melodrama in American Culture and Politics. The syllabus for this class outlines our assignments and the aim of the course which is, namely, to "examine the way melodrama operates pervasively throughout contemporary global culture as an organizing mode of thought." In my project site, I will further explore this concept in a more narrow fashion, and make a contribution to the existing discourse on the subject of my choice. The topic I plan on exploring is based on the the questions: "What are the experiences of young Islamic-Americans and Jewish-Americans in a post- 9/11 America? How do their experiences help us redefine and the way we think about the concepts of coexistence and tolerance?"
