I am currently a first-year student at Emory University's College of Arts and Sciences, intending to major in Religion and Anthropology and minor in Dance. My choice of major comes from an intense interest in human culture, particularly its' affinity for religious thought and how that affects interactions. I hope to one day make a positive impact on the way different cultures come together and interact over religious differences, globally. My first step in that direction will be to study abroad at Tel Aviv University in the Spring of 2015. I went to high school at DeKalb School of the Arts in the Atlanta area, and graduated as a Dance major, Tech Theater minor and Salutatorian. In 2012, I attended Georgia Governor's Honors Program as a Social Studies major. I have been awarded the AP Scholar with Honor, the AJC Cup, and was named one of Atlanta's Top 20 Under 20 in 2013 by Atlanta INtown newspaper for my work with the Atlanta-based Lady T's Homeless Ministry. My current extracurriculars include employment at Vista Grove Dance Center, Emory Dance Company, AHANA Dance at Emory, and Kappa Alpha Theta (Delta Zeta Chapter).
